William Burke, founder and dubbed "godfather" of Revival Social Dinner, is a man in love with his deep Southern roots. His culinary desire was planted as a child in his grandmother's kitchen and was nourished through the years in the kitchens of Georgia and North Carolina. His culinary style, "hillbilly haute," relies heavily in the past: understanding the value of storing up the seasons bounty, the desire to maximize the whole animal, and the growth of the soil as a direct reflection of the crops it will grow.
Revival Social Dinner is, at its core, a desire to create a movement in his beloved second city that helps the local groups--those who need more assistance and notoriety to sustain their efforts of change--receive funding and awareness. With a philosophical view that good food, good drink and a calm setting will foster conversations that can lead to a solid plan to help society, he set out, with his wife, Joy, and extremely talented friends to create this revival.
